1st celebration of November 23 as the International Day to end Impunity.
Earlier, my pontifical school (LOL), also known as the University of Santo Tomas, care of Journalism Society and CASA remembered the Maguindanao Massacre by flashing a film, having a forum/talk, and a 'torch parade' from Espanya to Mendiola.
It's really nice that there are still people who remembers the massacre even those people who are not related to the media and even the media who are acting like they care for the sake of being knowledgeable about the incident and most of all, those people who really cares.
These murdered journalists, who are ready to die for a story, must really be remembered. I am not saying this just because I am a journalism student but because I really think that they are our modern heroes. Lol yes, it is me talking! I think they've really done their job well not because they are now dead but because they've stand up for what they believe in.
If you all would know the stories behind each and every story of these journalists and also their family and relatives, for sure you'll cry a fucking river for them. Maybe if we see their relatives/family in real life, they might laugh, they might smile but these things are not enough to sugarcoat the reality that their father, or mother, or whatever died because of a story.
It started with a story. It ends with a story.
And maybe their story is one of the best story ever told.
And so, to somehow make this article worth your read, let's say the magic word.
Justice. Justice for them. Fucking justice for them.
