2 hold-uppers, dead; victims unscathed in gun battle

Two male hold-uppers were dead on the spot while the other two escaped after declaring hold-up yesterday along Laon Laan Sampaloc, Manila.

Authorities of Manila Police District Station4, led by Police Chief Inspector Rayan V. Ador were then patrolling at the said area and spotted the incident. When the suspects are to be arrested they draw and fire their guns which triggered the authorities to return back the fire.

The gun battle led to the death of Eduardo Delmo and one unidentified while the two managed to escape.

The victims Michael Pay, 23, John Tangente, 33, Jeffry BAstida, 13, Ruel Esagre, 23, were left unscathed.

The MPD Station4 is still conducting follow up operations.

According to Police reports, the cadavers were brought to Universal Funeral Homes located along Avenida St., Sta. Cruz, Manila.

MPD: “chop-chop” issue, bogus

An estimated 2,000 residence in Laon Laan Sampaloc, Manila flocked the police station upon hearing that the “chop-chop” criminal has been arrested yesterday.

The said “chop-chop” issue has been around Laon Laan. Flyers with pictures of chopped body parts were posted along the said area. Hence, the apprehension of the people.

However, according to investigation, it turned out that the suspected perpetrator, Lamberto Baldoz De Leon, 47 with his Nissan white van was just waiting for Brgy. Chairman Daniel Landicho.

Manila Police District Station4 – SPO4 Severino Segum was stern in saying that the issue gaining popularity in Facebook was a “bogus”.

“There’s no truth to that,” he said.

Muslim, shot dead in Quiapo

A MUSLIM was found dead on the spot inside an Islamic Center yesterday at Quiapo Manila.

The body identified as “Anwar”, 30-40, was acknowledged by the Barangay Chairman Faez Nacbato of Brgy. 648 Zone 67 District6, San Miguel, Manila.

“Because they are Muslims [they refused to disclose any details],” SPO3 Mario Asilo of the Manila Police District (MPD)-Homicide Section said.

Police Inspector Armando Macaraeg, Chief Homicide Section together with SPO3 Danilo Vidad was dispatched by the MPD to conduct the operation.

Anwar was found lying with his back in a pool of blood, multiple gun shots were found on different parts of his body at the Islamic Center at 4:30pm. Because of Muslim tradition, the body was immediately brought in the mosque.

According to police reports, several people in the area interviewed were reluctant in giving out information. The case will be placed under further investigation by the MPD.

“Ganon talaga sa Muslim, ‘di na sila nagpapa imbestiga, deretso na libing,” Asilo said.

Notorious abortionist of Quiapo, held captive

Credit to a concerned citizen who tipped-off an illegal operation, the notorious abortionist of Quiapo, Manila was re-arrested last April 2.

Myla Sanchez, 34, was caught in action inside a shanty residence allegedly used as a hideout at 24 Basan St. Quiapo, Manila. Sanchez was arrested together with her suspected assistant.

The Plaza Miranda Police Community led by Commander Joselito Von Possel however, failed to seize the suspected assistant. The aid was described as fair and 5’7 in height.

Possel along with SPO2 Larry Punzalan and PO3 Efren Castro have closely watched the reported location leading to the confirmation of the reported act.

According to the report given to the Manila Police District Headquarters, the perpetrators were captured long before finishing the abortion. The ‘costumer’ was seemingly in a “giving birth position”, when the police arrested them.

The arresting-police seized ‘abortion paraphernalia’ (coconut oil, cotton, and two stainless forceps) on the crime scene.

The ‘costumer’ identified as Michelle Delos Santos, 24, was reportedly two months pregnant.

Sanchez and Delos Santos were brought at Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital for medical examination and are both under custody at the Manila Police District. #
